HOW DO I SECURE MY DATE FOR MY WEDDING HAIR AND MAKEUP?
Booking is easy! We'll start by gathering information about the services you and your bridal party would like. You'll receive a Google Form to help us collect all the details and keep the process organized.
Once we have your information, we'll send you a contract to review and sign. After the signed contract and booking fee are received, your wedding date is officially reserved.
Please ensure all bridal party members are committed to receiving services before they're added to the contract. Once a person is included, their services cannot be removed, and you will be responsible for the cost if they later decide not to participate. If someone changes their mind more than two weeks before the wedding, we are happy to allow another person to take their place.
WHAT IF MY BRIDAL PARTY DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HAIRSTYLE THEY WANT?
No problem! We recommend selecting an updo initially. If a bridal party member decides on a different style later, we can adjust the service and pricing accordingly.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I/ SHOULD I BOOK? DO YOU ACCEPT LAST MINUTE BOOKING?
We accept bookings up to two years in advance, and we recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
We also accommodate last-minute weddings whenever our schedule allows.
HOW MUCH IS THE BOOKING FEE AND WHEN IS IT DUE?
A booking fee of 50% of your contract total is required to reserve your date. The booking fee is typically due within two days of receiving your contract.
FINAL PAYMENTS ARE DUE: Thirty days (30) before the wedding.
HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We travel throughout New England, including Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.
Travel is charged at $50 per hour, per stylist, round trip.
DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR HOLIDAYS OR SUNDAY WEDDINGS?
No. Our pricing remains the same regardless of the day of the week or holiday.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept Venmo (which is the preferred method) and in certain circumstances PayPal.
* Please note if using either requires a fee be paid, you as the client are required to cover that cost.
CAN I ADD MORE PEOPLE ON AFTER I'VE SIGNED MY CONTRACT?
Yes! Additional services can be added after booking. We simply ask that you provide your final service count at least two months before the wedding so we can finalize your schedule and staffing needs.
CAN I BOOK HAIR OR MAKEUP ONLY?
Absolutely. Since hair and makeup are provided by separate artists, you may book either service individually.
Please note that we require a minimum of four service recipients (not including the bride) to reserve a wedding date.
DO YOU OFFER TOUCH UP SERVICES?
(ONCE THE HAIR AND MAKEUP IS COMPLETED- example: after first look, ceremony, etc.)
Yes. We offer on-site touch-up services, as well as complete hair and makeup changes for the bride if desired.
Additional fees apply and will be discussed during the booking process.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR REDUCE SERVICES?
Wedding cancellations may be made at any time; however, fees may still apply depending on the timing of the cancellation.
Booking fees are non-refundable. Please refer to your contract and terms and conditions for full details.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CHANGE MY WEDDING DATE?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to reschedule, we'll check our availability for your new date.
If we are available, your contract and booking will be transferred. If the new date falls in a future year, pricing may be adjusted to reflect current rates.
If we are unavailable for your new date, the booking fee remains non-refundable. Please refer to your contract for full details.
CAN YOU ACCOMODATE LARGER WEDDING PARTIES OR MULTIPLE LOCATIONS?
Yes! We can comfortably accommodate wedding parties of up to 10 people.
For larger groups or tighter timelines, we may bring assistants to help ensure everything stays on schedule. Assistant fees are $100 per assistant and will always be discussed in advance.
To maximize efficiency, we prefer to remain at a single location whenever possible.
ARE YOU FULLY LICENSED AND DO YOU CARRY INSURANCE?
Yes. Our team is fully insured (COI's can be provided if needed) and highly experienced in bridal hair and makeup services. We are committed to providing a professional, reliable, and stress-free experience for your wedding day.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE HAIR OR MAKEUP TRIAL AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Your trial begins with an in-depth consultation where we'll discuss your wedding vision, personal style, inspiration photos, and any features you'd like to enhance or concerns you'd like addressed.
Once we've finalized your desired look, we'll create your hair and/or makeup while checking in with you throughout the process to ensure you're completely happy. Adjustments can be made as needed until the look feels perfect.
Before the appointment ends, we'll review wedding-day details, timelines, and logistics so you can feel confident and prepared.
Please allow approximately 1–1.5 hours for a bridal trial. Bridesmaid and family member trials may require less time. Multiple style changes may require additional time and could incur an additional fee.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR THE HAIR & MAKEUP TRIAL?
About one month before your appointment, we'll send a text with directions, preparation instructions, and appointment details.
To prepare:
-
Send your inspiration photos ahead of time or bring them to your appointment.
-
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face.
-
Wash your hair the day before your appointment (or the morning of if your hair is fine or oily) and arrive with completely dry hair.
-
Bring any hair accessories or veil you'd like to wear on your wedding day.
-
If you're planning to use hair extensions, bring them to your trial and discuss placement with your stylist.
WHERE DOES THE TRIAL TAKE PLACE AND DO YOU COME TO MY LOCATION ON THE WEDDING DAY?
Most trials take place at Missy's salon in Woolwich, Maine.
If scheduling requires separate appointments, hair trials are held with Missy and makeup trials with Haley. We'll discuss this with you in advance if needed.
On your wedding day, we travel directly to your location.
CAN I BOOK A TRIAL BEFORE BOOKING THE WEDDING DATE?
Yes. We offer a "Hold the Date" option that temporarily reserves your wedding date until your trial or until a designated date which is discussed prior to signing your Hold the Date.
After the trial, if you're happy with your look, we'll finalize your contract and collect the remaining booking fee needed to officially secure your date.
Because dates fill quickly, we recommend booking as soon as possible.
SHOULD MY HAIR BE FRESHLY WASHED BEFORE THE TRIAL RUN?
Yes. Most clients should wash their hair the day before their appointment.
If your hair tends to be fine or oily, wash it the morning of your appointment and arrive with completely dry hair.
WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO WEAR MY USUAL MAKE UP FOR THE TRIAL RUN?
No. Please arrive with clean, freshly cleansed skin.
Avoid heavy moisturizers or eye creams before your appointment, as they can interfere with makeup application.
DO I NEED MY VEIL AND HAIR ACCESSORIES FOR THE TRIAL RUN?
We recommend bringing any accessories you plan to wear so we can complete your bridal look during the trial.
If you haven't chosen them yet, that's perfectly fine. We can still create your hairstyle and make adjustments later if needed.
DO I NEED TO COLLECT IMAGES OF THE STYLES I LIKE?
Yes. Inspiration photos help us understand your vision and allow us to spend more time creating your desired look rather than searching for ideas during the appointment.
CAN THE BRIDESMAIDS/ BRIDES MOM HAVE A TRIAL RUN?
Absolutely. While trials are not required for bridesmaids or mothers of the wedding party, we're happy to schedule them if desired and as long as we have the availability to do so.
IS IT OK TO INVITE A FRIEND ALONG WHEN I HAVE MY TRIAL?
Yes! You're welcome to bring friends or family members for support and feedback.
Due to space limitations, we ask that you bring no more than three guests.
WHEN SHOULD I HAVE MY TRIAL RUN?
Most trials take place between January and April before wedding season begins.
We typically schedule brides in order of their wedding date, with earlier-season weddings receiving priority.
Available trial dates and scheduling information will be provided after booking.
WHAT IF THE DATES YOU HAVE DONT WORK WITH MY SCHEDULE? CAN WE SELECT ANOTHER DATE?
We understand schedules can be challenging. If our designated trial dates don't work, we'll do our best to arrange an alternative appointment.
This may require separate hair and makeup appointments at our individual locations, but we're happy to work with you to find a solution.
WHAT IF I CAN’T HAVE A TRIAL DUE TO TIME OR SCHEDULING CONFLICTS?
Don't worry. We've successfully completed many weddings without a trial.
In these cases, we'll ask for detailed photos of your hair, skin, and inspiration images ahead of time. We'll also schedule additional time on your wedding day to ensure your look is exactly what you envisioned.
WHAT IF I’M NOT HAPPY AFTER MY TRIAL?
Your satisfaction is our top priority.
We'll follow up after your trial to gather feedback and discuss any adjustments you'd like to make. If needed, we can schedule a second trial (subject to availability) to refine your look.
Honest feedback is always encouraged—we want you to feel completely confident and excited about your wedding-day hair and makeup.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED ON THE WEDDING DAY?
We always block two hours for the bride on her wedding day (one hour for hair, one hour for makeup) We like to stagger hair and makeup on the entire bridal party, so no one is having services done at the same time. This makes it a lot easier on both Missy and myself. If we work at the same time, it can be tricky as sometimes Missy needs to move the head around to pin hair into place, and sometimes I need you completely still so we’ve found it best to stagger your services. Services for the wedding party are 30-55 minutes per service depending on the hair style and makeup look. Any client with hair below the bra strap or extensions will take longer than normal as there’s obviously more hair to tend to! We will carefully map out your day with you to make sure things run smoothly.
WHAT HAPPENS ON THE WEDDING DAY AND HOW LONG WILL HAIR & MAKEUP TAKE?
We typically arrive 30 minutes before we are scheduled to begin with your wedding party to set up and scope out your getting ready space.
We will set up an area for hair or makeup usually we would ask for a location with lots of natural light for applying the makeup if possible and for hair an area that has a plug point for the hair appliances.
Based on the timeline you have reviewed and approved prior to your wedding day we will start with your wedding party at the allotted time. Each service takes between 30-55 minutes, however, we do build in a cushion for any clients that take a little longer or need changes.
For our bride, we give roughly 1 hour for hair and 1 hour for makeup (this may be more depending on the style chosen) so we can take our time and have you relax.
Once everyone is ready we use the last 30 minutes for touchups, lips, etc. to ensure you are all camera ready for the day ahead.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR HAIR OR MAKEUP ON THE WEDDING DAY?
Just like for your trial, we will send you a confirmation group text the week prior to your payment due date. This will include all details for prep, confirmation of arrival times, address we will be going to, payment details as well as another copy of your wedding day hair and makeup schedule. We encourage our brides to forward along the information to their bridal party so everyone is on the same page!
For your makeup application, we ask clients arrive with clean skin.
“Dirty”, day old hair will help with styling unless your hair tends to be more oily, then wash the morning of, we will be sure to ask you about each member receiving services prior to your wedding to help guide you in the right direction.
Avoid using any hair products or using any heat appliances as this can affect styling.
Please wear a robe/dressing gown or something that can be easily taken off rather than over the head as this may affect the finished hair or makeup.
WILL MY HAIR & MAKEUP LAST THE WHOLE DAY?
We pride ourselves on our skills in this field and have over the years discovered as a team the best products to ensure your hair and makeup will last the whole day and into the evening.
WHAT ABOUT TOUCH UPS ON THE BIG DAY? HOW WILL THE MAKEUP LAST? DO YOU GIVE US ANYTHING TO HELP ENSURE LONGEVITY?
Something that sets us apart is our “touch up bags” we give to anyone receiving hair and makeup services. Each bag is fully equipped with everything you may need in case of emergency as well as for touch ups as the day progresses. In each bag you will receive: your lip color, blotting sheets, qtips, bobby-pins, tic-tacs and a makeup wipe for easy removal at the end of the day.
IS THERE A RUNNING ORDER/SCHEDULE FOR WEDDING MAKEUP ON THE DAY?
After years of experience in bridal hair and make-up we will make sure this is something we discuss in detail with you during your trial, and if you don’t/can’t have a trial we will set up a call to discuss scheduling. We will also give you a hand out with specific details as to what information we need from you in order to build your schedule perfectly to allow for the day to flow seamlessly.
We would recommend Bridesmaid/MOB that is going to get the bride into her wedding dress go first, that way once they have had their hair and makeup done they can get themselves ready so they will be free to help the bride into her dress once her hair and makeup is finished.
We will also ask about anyone who is going to be running around, setting up things at the venue, as we want to make sure they go and get all of those tasks done before sitting for hair and makeup especially during the summer months! Anyone doing many tasks and sweating or being out in the elements should have their tasks completed to prior to hair and makeup to ensure longevity. If this isn’t possible, don’t worry, we’ll most likely still be in the building in case anyone needs touch ups!
We also understand that each bridal party comes with its own dynamics and no one is perfect, we understand there may be some varying personalities that may be better if there are certain members that are done earlier versus later to avoid conflict! Please let us know of these things ahead of time, and don’t worry, we won’t tell!
It would be advisable for the bride to have her hair and makeup done towards the end of the timeline to ensure her look is fresh and fabulous for the walk down the aisle. We allow roughly two hours (one hour for each service) for the bride so you can sit down and relax and we can take our time to create your perfect wedding day look. Generally, the brides hair will be second to last on the hair schedule, and the brides makeup will be last on the makeup schedule.
Mother of the Bride/Groom, junior bridesmaids, flower girls, or anyone not involved in dressing the bride or directly in the bridal party to go last as they can easily slip their dresses on.
WHEN DO WE PAY THE FINAL BALANCE FOR THE WEDDING DAY HAIR & MAKEUP?
The final balance is due 2 days prior to your event if your paying via Venmo, PayPal or Zelle however we will gladly accept cash for final payment on the day of your wedding.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU ARE SICK ON MY WEDDING DAY?
We have an amazing network of artists that can step in to help if there are ever any unexpected circumstances. We partner closely with other vendors in the area to ensure if this happens, we got you covered!

WHAT TYPE OF BRANDS DO YOU USE?
We use many different high-end brands hand-selected to give the best results for each skin/hair type. Makeup brands include Bare Minerals (foundations), Smashbox, Laura Mercier, Gerard Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Morphe, Colourpop, BH Cosmetics, ELF and many more. Hair products include Kenra, Big Sexy Hair.
DO YOU CATER TO SENSITIVE OR PROBLEM-PRONE SKIN?
If you have sensitive skin we have products designed to calm and desensitize your skin. For Acne/Rosacea or problem-prone skin, we use specially formulated primers and concealers to neutralize redness, ensuring your skin remains flawless all day. I’ve been doing makeup professionally for 12 + years now and my specialty is the “no makeup-makeup” I work especially hard to make sure you look as much like yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin while minimizing the things that you don’t love about your skin. Focusing on using products with minimal ingredients, and most importantly ingredients that are good for your skin and non-comedogenic is very important to me. I want your skin to be able to breathe and I want to make sure you don’t feel as though you have a mask of foundation caked on to your face. Coverage is best achieved with sheer buildable layers so you avoid that “makeup” feeling on the skin.
I WANT TO USE SOME OF MY OWN MAKEUP PRODUCTS IS THIS POSSIBLE?
To an extent, yes! When we send out your trial text, we would encourage you to voice a concern such as this (a foundation you absolutely love to use, a specific type of lash you want for the big day etc. as we may ask you to bring it with you for the trial). We want you to feel totally comfortable so if you would like us to use a product, such as a favorite lip color or a set of lashes you know works well on your skin we are more than happy to do so. However, any sort of complexion product (foundation, concealer, eye pallet, etc.) will have to come from Haley directly (unless we have spoken about this prior to). Due to increased concerns with COVID and strict sanitation standards, we opt to use our products versus yours to avoid any cross contamination or risk of virus spread. We use disposable wands and applicators with all of our products and sanitize brushes and pallets in between each client. If this is a concern for you, just let us know and we can discuss further.
I NORMALLY WEAR VERY LITTLE MAKEUP, WILL I NEED TO WEAR LOTS OF MAKEUP TO LOOK GOOD?
Not at all, our service is about enhancing your natural features and creating a look that feels like you, just more polished, ensuring you look flawless on and off camera. Bridal makeup is all about good balance therefore we will ensure there is a balance of what will look good on camera and still natural to make sure you feel comfortable with your chosen look. The “no makeup-makeup” look is classic and timeless. Haley focuses on a “natural glam” vibe that photographs beautifully and still stays true to who you are.
DO YOU CATER TO SAME SEX COUPLES? ARE YOU LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY?
Yes & Yes! We cater to ALL couples! Love is love and we have plenty of experience doing same sex weddings.
DO YOU CATER TO ALL SKIN TYPES/TONES, HAIR TYPES/TEXTURES?
Absolutely! Haley has 13+ years doing bridal and special occasion makeup and has performed many applications on different ethnicities and skin types. Missy has been doing hair well over 35 years now and is well versed in many different hair types. This is where your trial and communication comes in handy. We ask you tons of questions about both you and your bridal party before-hand so when we go to make your schedule for the big day!
WILL HAVING A TAN, LASH EXTENSIONS OR HAIRSTYLE CHANGE AFFECT THE LOOK OF THE HAIR OR MAKE-UP ON THE WEDDING DAY?
If you get a tan after your trial run, don’t worry as the makeup can be color-matched again on the wedding day to blend with the tan. We do encourage you to try your spray tan out prior to your wedding especially if you’ve never had one. If you plan on having one, getting one prior to your trial is a fantastic idea as it gives you a “real idea” of what your makeup will look like the day of the wedding since when you are tanner, the colors we use look different than they do when you have fairer skin tone. In regard to lash extensions, they will have a similar look to false lashes so if it's something you're considering, we can apply false lashes during your trial to get the same look.
If you are thinking of changing your hairstyle dramatically in color or length we would strongly advise having this done first before booking the trial so you can then see how the hair will look on the wedding day as if it changed after the trial Missy cannot guarantee the style will look the same. We recommend discussing this with us prior to your wedding so we can give you thoughts, recommendations and feedback!
